I would not have visited Antwerp if it were not for my job. But what a discovery! It is such a beautiful city, with the glamour of high fashion and a diamond hub, yet so old, quaint and serene at the same time.
Even the Hilton Antwerp feels so elegant, like an old queen. There is a great Australian ice-cream place behind Hilton, a scoop of stracciata and a quiet bench on Groenplaats is all I need on a lazy Saturday afternoon.
